INTRO
Does the world need another foodblog?! Maybe it doesn’t, but I have had been thinking of writing one for a very long time and finally decided to get started. My goal is to share my food inspirations and recipes with others…and if you are reading this it probably means you are passionate about flavours, textures, aromas as much as I am.
LANGUAGE
Why is this blog written in English (by an Italian native speaker)? Just because I’d like to share my recipes with the international foodblog community… Cotto e Crudo is the Italian equivalent of this blog, however, what I’m posting here might sometimes be different from what I post over there… And please, do excuse my English when I’ll post at one o’ clock at night and I’ll be too tired to make corrections…
RECIPES AND INSPIRATION
Some of the recipes you’ll find here are my creations, while others are re-interpretations of traditional ones…of course, I’ll also get inspiration from other people’s recipes and from a variety of authors/chefs/foodbloggers/foodwriters.
INGREDIENTS AND PRODUCE
Reading through my edible experiments, you’ll realize that this is a meat-free blog -but will sometimes have eggs, fish, milk and other dairy products. Whole grains and flours, fresh fruit and vegetables feature regularly in my recipes. Most importantly, I tend to use organic goodies whenever possible (I should say most of the time). You are unlikely to find any heavily refined foods in my kitchen pantry… I just think that unprocessed ingredients taste a lot better.
AIMS
Cooked, raw, macrobiotic, vegan, vegetarian and semi-vegetarian: through this blog I intend to express all my love for natural, tasty and healthy food.
